FUNDRAISER
Just a quick reminder—we’re about to launch our Double Good virtual fundraiser! It’s all about creating your own Pop-Up Store to sell delicious, award-winning Double Good popcorn. It’s super easy, and orders ship directly to the buyers!

How to Get Started:

1️⃣ Download the Double Good app (free on iOS & Android)

2️⃣ Enter our event code: TZGIQE
3️⃣ Create your Pop-Up Store

Fundraiser Details:
📅 Start: March 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM (This Friday)

End: March 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM

We really need your help to reach our $3,000 goal to cover essential costs like uniforms, lights, and field expenses. This fundraiser can also help support those who may not be able to afford these costs on their own. The more people who participate, the closer we’ll get to supporting the team and ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed.

🎉 Exciting Prizes Alert! 🎉
🥇 1st Place: $100 Gift Card of your choice + a cozy sweater from the Spirit Store!
🥈 2nd Place: $50 Gift Card of your choice + a cool T-shirt from the Spirit Store!
🥉 3rd Place: $25 Gift Card of your choice!

Spirit Wear Store
The Spirit Wear store is officially open, and it’s your chance to rock some awesome gear while supporting the team! When you grab a shirt or any item, a portion of the proceeds comes back to help us cover expenses like uniforms, lights, and field costs. Whether you’re showing off your team spirit with a shirt or picking up a bag to carry all your soccer gear, this is the perfect way to support the club. Plus, you’ll be looking great while doing it! Your purchase makes a difference for the team—thank you for helping us out!

TRAVEL TEAMS
As we enter our third week of the season, we’re working on forming Travel teams for players ages 8-18 to compete in tournaments and potentially join leagues in Lancaster or Bakersfield. We have tournaments in May and June, including some beach events that require a 12-player team. While coed teams are an option, we prefer to separate by gender and age group for better development.

If your child is interested in joining a travel team, please inform your coach so we can gauge interest. While practice-only teams are more affordable, travel teams offer great opportunities for skill development. Fundraisers and sponsors can help with travel costs.

POLL
Keep an eye out for a poll on our Instagram and Facebook later today! We’ll be asking a few key questions to help us determine the best next steps for the team. Here are some of the questions you might see:

If we schedule a game in Tehachapi, would you be able to make it?

Would you be interested in a month-long group training session (6 players) this summer?

Your feedback is crucial in helping us plan the best opportunities for our players, so we appreciate your input!

WEBSITE  Our new website, rcrepublicfc.org, is live! While we’ll still use this app for communication, the website is a great backup for those who prefer not to download it. For next season, we’ll offer online payments and monthly payment options, plus in-person payment options for cash or check.

Please note, some sections are still being completed. If you notice any issues, please fill out the contact form or message me directly. Thanks!

MVP/BLOG Check out our new MVP section on the website, where each month, a standout player will be honored as MVP of the Month! They’ll be featured on the site and may receive a special token. Stay tuned for the March announcement!

Also, don’t miss our new Blog section, keeping you updated on team news, practice highlights, and upcoming events. Be sure to check it out!

HEAD COACH/ASSISTANT COACH  We’re looking for Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches! As a volunteer-driven club, we need your support. We’re currently seeking coaches for Juniors and U12 Boys and U12 Girls teams. We provide weekly practice plans, and Head Coaches can be reimbursed for license and background check fees.

Coach Stacie will remain with the Juniors until a replacement is found. If you’re passionate about coaching, we’d love to have you! If interested, please fill out our coaches form or contact Scott Craft or Tony Talan for practice plans.

UNIFORM UPDATE  We’re working hard to find the right shirts/jerseys for everyone. Thanks to our sponsor, most uniforms are covered, but not all. With registration at $75, it’s challenging to secure them in time, and we also need full uniforms for the U17 girls team. We appreciate your patience and hope to have the orders in soon. Thank you for understanding!

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Get ready for Friday Night Lights—it’s going to be an exciting night for everyone! 🌟 This spring, we have tons of new players joining us, so I want to make sure you’re all in the loop about this awesome event!

Friday Night Lights takes place on a Non-Flex Friday, and usually, we have a friendly game against a local team, or a scrimmage against ourselves. But that’s not all—sometimes we’ll have event bags filled with goodies, music, and even food vendors! 🍔🎶 Who knows what delicious options we’ll have this season, but it’s sure to be a treat!

And don’t miss out on our raffle! 🎟️ Tickets are just $1 each or 6 for $5—awesome prizes and a great time for everyone. It’s a fantastic way to kick off the weekend, and we can’t wait to see you all there! 🌟

The first one will be on April 11th from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Don’t miss it!

From our Friday Night Lights games to our upcoming fundraising opportunities, and everything in between, it’s going to be an unforgettable time for all our players and families. Your support and involvement make all the difference, and we’re so grateful to have such an amazing community. Stay tuned for more updates, and let’s make this season one to remember! 🙌⚽🎉
